The nation's only year-round
network radio show devoted exclusively to Baseball
Talkin' Baseball is a two-hour program that airs year-round on
Sundays from 4:00 to 6:00 ET. The program includes a review of all
the week's activity and top stories, interviews with important figures
in and around the game; Seventh Inning Stretch, which focuses on
a key issue or story; and humorous segments such as Who's on First,
a compilation of some of the week's wackiest occurrences, and The
Wood Shed, where people in and around baseball are taken to task.
Host of the program is Tim Donner, a sports play-by-play broadcaster
and talk show host for seven years at WBZ, Boston and in central
Massachusetts, and President of Horizons Television, Inc., a media
production company based in Great Falls, Virginia. A self-described
baseball fanatic, Tim is currently writing a book on baseball with
his wife Leesa.
Co-Host Phil Wood has spent more than 30 years covering sports
in the Baltimore-Washington market for both broadcast and print
outlets. He is currently a baseball columnist for both the Baltimore
and Washington Examiner newspapers, and hosts a Saturday radio show
on Baltimore's ESPN Radio 1300 that is simulcast on MASN -the Mid
Atlantic Sports Network. Phil's background includes assignments
on many of the major broadcast outlets in the Mid-Atlantic region:
WTOP, WMAL, and WTEM in Washington; WCBM, WYST and WJFK in Baltimore,
on XM Satellite Radio and as a guest analyst on CNN during the baseball
post-season.
